Counseling Ministry

We believe strongly in the importance of emotional and mental health. It can be an integral part of our physical and spiritual health. To this end, Cape Cod Bible Alliance Church offers the services of Vicki Soponski MSW, a licensed clinical social worker, who holds a Masters in Social Work from Boston College as well as a Masters in Biblical Counseling from the American Association of Christian Counseling. Vicki is employed by Carvalho Healthcare in Osterville. In the last 2 years she has met with and been a blessing to over 50! people from our congregation and community. It is our desire that all who have emotional and mental health needs receive the help and care that they need. We realize that some may not be able to fully afford these important and oftentimes essential services. The church has established a fund to assist with payment.

However, we require (except in extreme hardship) that everyone contribute something to their sessions with Vicki (even if it is $5). The more that you give the more funds will be available for others.

Vicki Soponski Is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker having earned a Masters of Social Work at Boston College in 2015. Vicki has also holds a Masters degree in biblical counseling. She is also a licensed chaplain. She is currently an active member of the American Association of Christian counselors. Vicki’s approach to counseling is unique in that she combines her social work background with the biblical. She has a passion for helping others and making an impact in the lives of her patients. Her specialties include Anxiety, stress, Depression, grief, bereavement, spiritual growth, substance use, addictions, trauma, and women’s issues and concerns.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry offers a proven and effective way to organize, equip, and supervise a team of congregation members – called Stephen Ministers – to provide high-quality, one-to-one, Christ-centered care to people experiencing life difficulties.

Stephen Leaders Guy Cecchi and Linda Stoll lead a team of thirteen Stephen Ministers trained to individually meet for an hour a week with individuals who express need for emotional and spiritual support.  The caring relationship is confidential and lasts for as long as needed.

Stephen Ministry multiplies blessings throughout the church and community.

  • Congregations carry out Christ’s commandment to “Love one another as I have loved you” (John 15:12 RSV) in a powerful and practical way.

  • Pastors have a team of gifted, trained, and committed lay caregivers ready to minister to hurting people.

  • Laypeople nurture and use their gifts in meaningful ministry, growing spiritually as they serve others.

  • People who are hurting have a caring Christian presence to provide emotional and spiritual support.

If you would like more information or have need for one-to-one encouragement, contact Guy Cecchi at 508.737.6179 or email office@ccbac.org

Potential care receivers will meet with the Stephens Leaders who will assess the need for care and either match them with a Stephen Minister or provide referrals to other helping resources.

All communication is confidential.
