Avoid the error of trying to be God, such as omniscience (being a know-it-all); omnipresence (trying to be in too many places at one time); omnipotence (bending circumstances and people to our will). The result of playing God? Fear, anxiety, guilt, and fatigue. Advent reminds us Jesus is the only incarnate Son of God. We are not. Instead, let us seek the godly attributes of love, kindness, mercy, and justice that the Holy Spirit instills in us.
· December 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd 9:00 am Classroom 3
This class is based on the ideas of a now-out-of-print book, “The God-Players,” by Earl Jabay. Used books available online. While helpful, the book is not necessary for the class.
