Our Story

Our church was incorporated in 1978 by a group that had been meeting together for Bible study and to form a church. One of the members of that group was a daughter of Alliance missionaries who suggested they contact the New England District of the C&MA. Myron Heckman was called as Pastor shortly thereafter. He was supported by New England Home Missions for three years, with the church assuming increasing financial support over that time.

After ten years of renting, a first church building was constructed in 1987, and expanded in 1997. In November of 2012, the church was burned to the foundation by an arson fire. The arsonist had no connection of the church and was convicted and sentenced in 2014. A new church building was built in the same, but expanded, location and began holding services in the spring of 2016.

In 2017 Pastor Steve Trudel became Lead Pastor while Pastor Myron remained on staff as an Associate Pastor until his retirement in January 2019.

Meet Pastor Steve Trudel
Our Lead Pastor

Pastor Steve began serving as Assistant Pastor at CCBAC in 2013 and was installed as Lead Pastor in 2017. Along with his wife, Alison, he has been part of the CCBAC family for many years and was married at the church in 1994.

Before entering full-time ministry, Steve owned a painting company for more than fifteen years. In 2010, he and Alison followed God’s call to pastoral ministry, moving with their four children to South Hamilton while Steve earned his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Steve is passionate about following Jesus, teaching God’s Word, and helping people grow in their faith. He loves the local church, values global missions, and rejoices in seeing lives transformed by the Gospel.

Steve and Alison live in Brewster, where they continue to serve the church and community. In his free time, Steve enjoys fishing, the beach, and spending time with his family on Cape Cod.

Meet Pastor Olaf Valli the Pastor of Ministry Development

Olaf joined the CCBAC staff in 2025 with a deep passion for discipleship and helping people encounter God in everyday life. Over the years, he has invested in youth, families, and local communities through ministry, coaching, Youth for Christ Cape Cod, and his family’s small business in Wellfleet. Alongside his wife, Angie, and their three children—Mataya, Asa, and Azariah—Olaf is grateful to call Cape Cod home.

He is passionate about the mission of the Christian & Missionary Alliance and helping the local church live with purpose, faith, and hope. Whether teaching, leading, or simply spending time with people, Olaf desires to see lives transformed by the love of Jesus.

Outside of ministry, Olaf enjoys being on the water, supporting local youth, and building meaningful relationships in the community. His prayer is that CCBAC would be a place where every person is known, loved, equipped, and sent into the world with the hope of Christ.

Meet Jesse Cecchi the Worship Pastor
and Admin. Director

Jesse joined the CCBAC staff in May 2023 and serves as Worship and Technology Director. Born and raised on Cape Cod, he has a deep connection to both the local community and the church he is grateful to once again call home.

Jesse attended Crown College, where he earned a degree in Discipleship Ministry. He is passionate about helping people encounter God through worship and creating environments where individuals can connect with Christ in meaningful and authentic ways.

After several years away, Jesse and his wife, Samantha, sensed the Lord leading them back to Cape Cod. Along with their son, Leon, they are thankful to be rooted in the community that helped shape their faith and are grateful for the opportunity to serve at CCBAC.

Through worship, technology, and everyday ministry, Jesse seeks to point people to Jesus, support the life of the church, and help create spaces where others feel welcomed, encouraged, and drawn closer to God.

Our Team

Meet Cyndi Grant the Lead Pastor’s Administrative Assistant

We’re grateful for Cyndi, who joined the CCBAC staff in October 2019 and serves as Pastor Steve’s Administrative Assistant. Originally from New Jersey, Cyndi also lived in North Carolina and Tennessee before moving to Cape Cod with her husband, Bob, and their two sons in 1994. It was then that they found their church home at CCBAC.

Cyndi has a heart for helping others grow in their faith. For many years, she has led a Bible study for mothers and is passionate about encouraging women to follow Jesus and make disciples, especially within their homes and families.

When she’s not at church, Cyndi enjoys hiking and biking with Bob, exploring National Parks with her growing family—including two wonderful daughters-in-law—and spending quality time with friends. She is thankful for the opportunity to serve alongside her church family and support the ministry of CCBAC.

Meet Samantha Cecchi our Communications Coordinator/Admin. assistant

Introducing Samantha, who joined the CCBAC staff in July 2021! Originally from California and raised in Minnesota, Samantha’s life has been shaped by faith, family, and a heart for serving others. Her connection to Crown College began long before she attended, her parents were students there in 1994, and it was there, in the fall of 2011, that she met her husband, Jesse.

Samantha and Jesse Cecchi are grateful to be raising their son, Leon, on Cape Cod while serving the Lord together at CCBAC. In addition to her ministry role, Samantha is currently pursuing studies in Psychology and Counseling, driven by a passion for caring for and encouraging others.

Whether serving behind the scenes or connecting with people on Sundays, Samantha brings a joyful spirit, servant’s heart, and genuine love for people. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships, supporting the life of the church, and helping create a welcoming environment where others can encounter the love of Jesus.

Meet Grace Robarge our Youth Director

We are happy to introduce Grace who joined the CCBAC staff in 2021 as Director of the Food Ministry and became Director of Youth Ministries in 2026. Having attended CCBAC since she was one year old, she is grateful to serve the church family that helped shape her faith and love for Jesus.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Grace holds degrees in Baking & Pastry Arts and Business Administration and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Theology at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She is passionate about helping students build an authentic, lasting faith and creating spaces where they feel known, valued, and connected.

Grace especially loves walking alongside students as they grow in their relationship with Christ and navigate the transition into young adulthood. Her prayer is that every student at CCBAC would know they are loved, equipped, and encouraged to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

Outside of ministry, Grace enjoys time on the Outer Beach, creating and designing, building Star Wars Legos, perfecting a great cup of matcha, and spending time with her husband, Drew, and their cat, Theodora.
