Our Lead Pastor
Rev. Steve Trudel
Lead pastor
We're delighted to share some information about Pastor Steve's journey and his role here at CCBAC.
Steve began his first full-time ministry position as an Assistant Pastor at CCBAC in the fall of 2013 and was installed as Lead Pastor on March 5, 2017. He and Alison were married in our church in 1994 and have been cherished members of our church family ever since.
Before entering full-time ministry, Steve owned a painting company for over fifteen years. Feeling called by the Lord, he and Alison, along with their four children, moved to Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2010, where Steve pursued his Master of Divinity degree. Upon his graduation in 2013, the family was deeply grateful for the Lord's faithfulness and eagerly anticipated their next steps. They were amazed when the Lord opened the door for Steve to join our staff at CCBAC.
Steve's greatest passion is following Jesus, diligently studying and proclaiming His Word, and witnessing the Lord at work in the lives of His people both locally and globally. He has a deep affection for the Cape and enjoys fishing for striped bass or spending time at the beach with his family. Steve, Alison, and their four children reside in Brewster.

Cyndi Grant
Lead Pastor’s Administrative assistant
We're excited to share a bit about Cyndi, who joined our church staff in October 2019. Cyndi is delighted to support Pastor Steve and to grow and serve alongside her church family. She grew up in New Jersey, lived in North Carolina and Tennessee, and moved to the Cape with her husband Bob and their two sons in 1994, when they began attending CCBAC.
For many years, Cyndi has facilitated a Bible study for mothers. She has a deep passion for helping women grow in their personal relationship with Jesus and become disciple-making disciples, especially within their homes. In her free time, Cyndi enjoys hiking and biking with her husband, vacationing to National Parks with her family (which now includes two lovely daughters-in-law), and simply sitting with friends and sharing life.

After many years, the Lord called Jesse and his wife, Sam, back to Cape Cod. You can often find Jesse on Sundays leading our music and tech teams. He is grateful that God brought him, his wife, and his son back to his home church and continues to look for God in every moment.

Samantha was born in California and grew up in Minnesota. Her parents attended Crown College in 1994, and she later met Jesse there in the fall of 2011. They now have a beautiful one-and-a-half-year-old son named Leon.
Both Samantha and Jesse have a strong desire to serve the Lord, and you can often find them serving together on Sundays.

Our History
Our church was incorporated in 1978 by a group that had been meeting together for Bible study and to form a church. One of the members of that group was a daughter of Alliance missionaries who suggested they contact the New England District of the C&MA. Myron Heckman was called as Pastor shortly thereafter. He was supported by New England Home Missions for three years, with the church assuming increasing financial support over that time.
After ten years of renting, a first church building was constructed in 1987, and expanded in 1997. In November of 2012, the church was burned to the foundation by an arson fire. The arsonist had no connection of the church and was convicted and sentenced in 2014. A new church building was built in the same, but expanded, location and began holding services in the spring of 2016.
In 2017 Pastor Steve Trudel became Lead Pastor while Pastor Myron remained on staff as an Associate Pastor until his retirement in January 2019.
